Am I Losing a Friend?
Today, Bingey told me that he was going to marry Jane. He said that he loved her. I was going to stop him again, like I did last time, but I realized I was acting like a hypocrite. His proposal to Jane had made me think of my hopeless situation with Elizabeth. If only she would give me a sign about her feelings toward me. Then I could ponder my next move.

I would have been very discouraged if you had. I hope you do know how much I care for him. You are not losing a friend but gaining two. I do hope you and Lizzy are happy. You both deserve to enjoy the time you have together!
ReplyDeleteOh Mr. Darcy, I think you're just being dramatic. You will not lose a friend in this, if anything, it will put you in better standing to marry my daughter. You must keep your head up! I believe if you play your cards right, you may have a chance with her.
